Min Young-sam, director of the Social Integration Strategy Institute and a candidate for the Supreme Council member in the People Power Party's national convention, is speaking about his platform as a candidate while meeting with reporters at the National Assembly Communication Office.
On the 1st, Lee Jin-sook, Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, appointed Min Young-sam, former special advisor to the People Power Party, as the president of the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) (photo).
KOBACO, an affiliate of the Korea Communications Commission, had a vacant president position since former president Lee Baek-man resigned in April. The term of the new president Min is three years, lasting until July 31, 2027.
President Min, a former political commentator, graduated from Korea University with a degree in sociology and also completed graduate studies there.
From 2018 to 2019, he served as a Supreme Council member of the Party for Democracy and Peace, and during President Yoon Seok-yeol's presidential campaign, he was a special advisor for national unity. Last year, he also served as a special advisor to the People Power Party.
KOBACO is a public institution that acts as an advertising sales agent for public broadcasters such as KBS and MBC.
