Chairman Kim Tae-su: "We Will Do Our Best to Faithfully Reflect the Voices from the Field"
On the 29th, the Seoul Metropolitan Council elected Assemblyman Kim Tae-su (People Power Party, Seongbuk-gu 4) as the Chairperson of the Housing and Spatial Committee for the second half of the 11th term during the 325th extraordinary session plenary meeting.
Newly appointed Chairperson Kim Tae-su is a three-term assemblyman of the 5th, 6th, and 7th Seongbuk District Council and has served as the Vice Chairperson and Acting Chairperson during the second half of the 7th Seongbuk District Council.
Additionally, he served as the Vice Chairperson of the Housing and Spatial Committee in the first half of the 11th Seoul Metropolitan Council, a member of the Special Committee on Real Estate Measures and Housing Welfare, a member of the Special Committee for the Realization of Undergrounding the Elevated Railway, and a member of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts. Through these roles, he has gained extensive experience and expertise not only in housing policy but also in overall Seoul city administration, raising expectations that he will actively engage in legislative activities such as revitalizing housing supply and preparing measures to address low birth rates and population aging.
In his acceptance speech, Chairperson Kim Tae-su expressed his commitment to “making every effort to faithfully reflect the voices from the field,” emphasizing his dedication to field-centered legislative activities.
The Seoul Metropolitan Council Housing and Spatial Committee finalized its composition on the 29th through a plenary resolution, consisting of Chairperson Kim Tae-su along with Ko Kwang-min (People Power Party, Seocho 3), Kim Young-chul (People Power Party, Gangdong 5), Kim Jong-gil (People Power Party, Yeongdeungpo 2), Kim Hyun-gi (People Power Party, Gangnam 3), Park Seok (People Power Party, Dobong 3), Ok Jae-eun (People Power Party, Jung-gu 2), Lee Min-seok (People Power Party, Mapo 1), Choi Jin-hyuk (People Power Party, Gangseo 3), Park Seung-jin (Democratic Party, Jungnang 3), Seo Jun-oh (Democratic Party, Nowon 4), and Choi Ki-chan (Democratic Party, Geumcheon 2).
