QR Code Containing Jeonse Fraud Prevention Information Included in Contract
Provides Essential Step-by-Step Checklist for Lease Agreements
“By simply scanning the QR code, you can easily access safe rental contract methods and ways to prevent Jeonse fraud all at once.”
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 31st that it has created the nation’s first Real Estate Safety QR Contract containing information to prevent Jeonse fraud.
The Real Estate Safety QR Contract is a lease contract with a QR code that contains information on preventing and responding to Jeonse fraud. Many victims of Jeonse fraud have lacked the knowledge and experience related to lease contracts. Therefore, the district included a QR code on the lease contract so that tenants can easily check important information they need to know when signing a lease contract.
By scanning the QR code, users can access the district’s website to view ▲Key Checklist for Jeonse Contracts ▲Jeonse Contract Precautions Video ▲Step-by-step Essential Checks When Drafting a Contract.
The ‘Key Checklist for Jeonse Contracts’ allows users to review important points at each stage, from choosing a house, verifying the landlord, drafting the contract, to after moving in, ensuring all essential matters for Jeonse contracts are checked.
The ‘Jeonse Contract Precautions Video’ explains various situations that may arise before, during, and after signing the contract in an easy-to-understand way. Additionally, it visually organizes the key points to check at each stage of the lease contract, such as when selecting a house, verifying the landlord, and drafting the contract. The QR code can be found when printing contracts through certified real estate brokerage information networks like ‘Ten’ and ‘Daon’.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We have created the nation’s first Real Estate Safety QR Contract to allow anyone easy access to essential information when signing lease contracts,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to establish a proper real estate brokerage culture and prevent Jeonse fraud.”
