On the 31st, Yonhap News reported that the Gwangju Seobu Police Station is investigating a complaint filed through the National Police Agency's online petition system by a citizen who accused three unidentified individuals?one driver and two passengers?of reckless driving.

The previous day, a citizen uploaded a black box video from a motorcycle, about 10 seconds long, showing a vehicle weaving through lanes and driving recklessly. Around 9:51 p.m. on the 28th, the vehicle crossed an intersection in Pungam-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, without slowing down or stopping at the pedestrian crossing.

Due to the high speed while making a right turn and leaving the intersection, the vehicle tilted to one side, and two passengers stuck their upper bodies out and even perched on the window. The loud shouts of the passengers hanging out of the window were clearly recorded in the video.

The police judged their actions to constitute reckless driving. Therefore, they plan to assign an investigator and begin an inquiry. A police official stated, "Sticking the upper body out of the window or moving back and forth between the first and second lanes can cause accidents," adding, "Since the vehicle is a rental car, we are investigating the identities of the driver and passengers through the rental company."
