Request for Support in Explaining the Necessity and Justification for Securing Next Year's Major National Budget Project Funds
Changnyeong County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 31st that County Governor Sung Nakin visited the office of local National Assembly member Park Sangwoong on the 30th to explain the necessity and justification for national funding support for next year's major projects and to discuss local pending issues.
This visit to the National Assembly was carried out to ensure that Changnyeong County's key projects are included in the government's budget proposal, as the Ministry of Economy and Finance is currently reviewing next year's national budget.

The main projects seeking national funding include: ▲ Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Project for Flood-Prone Living Areas (KRW 69.1 billion) ▲ Improvement Project for Areas Vulnerable to Natural Disasters (KRW 32.1 billion) ▲ Old Water Supply Pipe Maintenance Project (KRW 49.5 billion) ▲ Construction of Changnyeong County Science-Based Agricultural Complex Facility (KRW 10 billion).
In addition, to revitalize the tourism industry and local economy, active cooperation was requested so that the 'Construction of Bugok Bridge on National Road No. 79 over the Nakdong River' could be swiftly included in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's five-year plan for national and local roads.
Furthermore, the county requested parliamentary attention and support for projects requiring policy assistance, such as 'Eco-friendly Golf Course Development on the Nakdong River Floodplain in Gilgok, Changnyeong' which involves changes to the river basic plan zoning, and the '2024 Designation of Changnyeong County as a Growth Promotion Area.'

Governor Sung Nakin stated, "With the government's commitment to sound fiscal management, it is expected to be challenging to secure national funding for next year. However, I will continue to do my utmost to secure the necessary budget by actively visiting and working until the government budget is finalized, to ensure the smooth implementation of our county's key projects and secure growth engines for regional development."
Previously, in May, Governor Sung also visited central government agencies such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance to explain the necessity of local projects and request national budget support.
