Chosun University Hospital Achieves First Grade for Three Consecutive Times in HIRA's 'Anesthesia Appropriateness Evaluation'

Overall Score 99.6 Points... Significantly Exceeding the Overall Average of 89.7 Points

Chosun University Hospital (Director Kim Jin-ho) announced on the 31st that it received a 'Grade 1' rating for the third consecutive time in the '3rd Anesthesia Appropriateness Evaluation' conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.


Chosun University Hospital Achieves First Grade for Three Consecutive Times in HIRA's 'Anesthesia Appropriateness Evaluation'

The HIRA conducted the first anesthesia appropriateness evaluation in 2018 to improve the quality of medical care in the anesthesia field and to establish a foundation for anesthesia patient safety management. The evaluation targeted 1,079 institutions (45 tertiary hospitals, 310 general hospitals, and 724 hospitals).


This evaluation was conducted for medical services provided over a three-month period from January to March of last year. It was carried out through evaluation indicators such as the average monthly anesthesia time per anesthesiology specialist, operation of the recovery room, rate of pre-anesthesia patient evaluation, and measurement rates of nausea, vomiting, and pain scores in the recovery room.


Chosun University Hospital achieved a high score of 99.6 points, significantly exceeding the overall average of 89.7 points, and was recognized as an outstanding medical institution.
