SK C&C announced on the 31st that its strategic business partner Daewon C&C has obtained the 'EcoVadis Global Supply Chain ESG Silver Certification' by utilizing the comprehensive ESG management platform 'Click ESG.'
EcoVadis is a global supply chain ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation organization established in France in 2007. It is used by over 130,000 companies in more than 180 countries worldwide. Based on international sustainability standards, it evaluates and publishes scores on five categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis ratings represent corporate sustainability evaluation results and are divided into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The Silver rating is awarded to companies within the top 15%. This rating ranks all companies across all industries, not limited to specific sectors.
Daewon C&C's certification achievement is the result of diagnosing management levels and establishing a comprehensive supply chain management system through SK C&C's Click ESG. Environmental, social, and governance-related data were input into Click ESG, which supported evaluations of key ESG indicators by industry, peer comparisons, and suggestions for detailed improvement areas. Subsequently, continuous ESG management level improvements were achieved through simulation management based on the scores.
Since 2021, SK C&C has established a supply chain ESG management system to enhance the ESG competitiveness of its partners and has been supporting diagnosis and improvement efforts for its partners. This year, ESG support projects are being conducted for 110 partner companies. Partners who pledge to the ESG management code of conduct receive diagnosis and customized comprehensive support using Click ESG. Based on diagnosis results, partners classified as high, medium, or low risk are provided with tailored comprehensive support measures, including ▲employee training and resource provision ▲in-depth diagnosis and consulting ▲EcoVadis certification support ▲financial support according to ESG ratings.
Daewon C&C, with support from SK C&C, has established ESG management by publishing a sustainability management report since 2022 and obtained EcoVadis certification based on receiving a low-risk rating in the ESG diagnosis.
