Uljugun Implements Advance Reservation System for Building Permits

Pre-Review of Civil Complaints and Notification of Approval Status

Ulsan’s Ulju County announced on the 30th that it is implementing a ‘Pre-Reservation System for Building Permits’ to process civil complaints related to building permits more quickly.

The Pre-Reservation System for Building Permits is a system that reviews matters related to building permits, such as building approval, development activities, mountain area conversion, and farmland conversion, in advance based on a simple building plan, and informs applicants whether approval is possible.

If approval is not possible, prompt notification can prevent the waste of applicants’ time and administrative resources, and if approval is possible, the pre-reviewed matters can shorten the processing period for civil complaints.

Since last April, Ulju County has been providing consultations on preliminary approval through the Pre-Reservation System for Building Permits, and since last month, online reservations for in-person consultations have been available on the county’s website.

Those wishing to consult can access the Pre-Reservation System for Building Permits page in the Participation and Communication section of the Ulju County Office website to make a reservation.

Reservations for in-person consultations must be made at least one week in advance, and applicants should fill out an application form and send it to the person in charge via email. Each person in charge reviews the submitted application forms and holds consultations with applicants every Monday morning.

An official from Ulju County said, “Building permits are complex civil complaints, so it is not possible to determine approval based solely on location,” and added, “We expect that the Pre-Reservation System for Building Permits, which informs applicants of the possibility of approval before they commission a building design, will help improve satisfaction with civil complaint services.”
