A total of 47 proposals were submitted in various fields, including employment, culture, living support, and participation rights.

Yeongju City Selects Winners of 'Youth Policy Idea Proposal Contest' Yeongju City is conducting a review of proposals for youth policy ideas.

The submitted proposals were ranked based on four criteria: originality, feasibility and sustainability, effectiveness, and specificity. The evaluation process consisted of a first round by the relevant policy departments and a second round by a judging panel including external experts.

The winning entries include one grand prize and three encouragement awards: ▲Youth Asset Management Education and Counseling Support (Park Jisung) ▲Support for Youth Academic and Job-Seeking Activities 'Young Point' System (Kim Minjae) ▲Support for Leisure and Cultural Life of Young Workers (Kim Miseon) ▲Youth Platform for Fostering Talent Contributing to the Local Community (Min Hyunseok), totaling four entries.

In particular, the grand prize-winning proposal, 'Youth Asset Management Education and Counseling Support,' received high scores in all evaluation categories for its suggestion to provide young people with opportunities for asset-building through education on asset management, tax-saving, housing subscription, and financial techniques, as well as preventing damages from rental fraud and phishing.

Mayor Park Namseo stated, "I hope this contest becomes an opportunity to increase young people's interest and participation in municipal affairs," adding, "We will do our best to create a 'vibrant youth city' by continuously gathering youth opinions."

Since 2022, Yeongju City has been soliciting youth policy ideas. In particular, last year's selected proposal, 'Support for Youth Self-Development Book Purchase Costs,' was included in this year's budget and has supported about 180 people as of the 30th.

The city plans to actively reflect the selected proposals in municipal administration to enhance youth welfare and create a city where young people can be happy.
