2011 Online Community Activities Revealed

Cyber Rekka YouTuber Karakula (real name Lee Se-wook), who was involved in foot-and-mouth disease and declared retirement after being accused of threatening 10 million YouTuber Jjuyang, has been suspected of sharing illegal recordings and even engaging in prostitution in the past.

Recently, Karakula's activities from 2011 have rapidly spread online. At that time, he allegedly shared images of women filmed at lodging facilities under the name "Bangbae-dong Saika" on the online community DC Inside Bike Gallery. The photos included those suspected of being illegally taken, such as blurred pictures of women’s nudity in lodging facilities and photos taken to expose underwear.

The subjects were not limited to professional women. There were also several photos of women in swimsuits or short skirts at public places like beaches. Because of this, it has been suggested that the victims of illegal filming could be an unspecified number of people. The man presumed to be Karakula wrote alongside the photos, "Is it not allowed to post these kinds of photos carelessly? If not, please boldly tell me where it is not allowed."

He also posted a message revealing his face, saying, "A business trip to Southeast Asia is really the best. But since Islam is dominant, if caught, it’s the death penalty."

YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, who covered this matter, said, "There were many contents that are hard to even mention," and added, "Looking at the posts at the time, Karakula seemed to have a strong desire to prove that it was himself. He posted many selfies that only he could have obtained." He criticized, "The actual image of Karakula, who has claimed to be a detective and said he 'implements justice' through YouTube, is quite different from the public’s perception."

Karakula’s past actions have been continuously controversial since the 'YouTuber Jjuyang threat suspicion' broke out. He is accused of extorting 30 million won from BJ Sutro, who was arrested for a coin scam, on the condition of suppressing the exposure of the incident, and also accused of spreading false information that basketball player Heo Woong’s ex-girlfriend was from the entertainment industry.

As the controversy arose, he made videos on his channel "Karakula Media" private or deleted them and stopped his activities. In the last video posted before suspending activities, he admitted, "All recent allegations are my fault and mistake," and acknowledged, "I received money from (coin businessman) Sutro, who is currently imprisoned for fraud."
