On the 27th (local time), Kim Woo-min competed in Heat 4 of the men's freestyle 400m preliminaries at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the La D?fense swimming pool in Paris, France, finishing 4th in his heat with a time of 3 minutes 45.52 seconds. Kim Woo-min led the first 100m segment in his heat but fell back to 4th place as his pace slowed down afterward.
Among 37 competitors in the preliminaries, Kim Woo-min ranked 7th overall, qualifying for the final where eight swimmers compete. The final will be held at 3:42 AM Korean time on the 28th.
