On the same day, Tmon sent text messages to customers who purchased the product, stating, "The book culture gift certificates, for which PINs (numbers used to redeem gift certificates online) were scheduled to be sent next month, are currently difficult to be delivered due to Tmon's circumstances," and "We have canceled the pre-orders through cooperation with some PG companies (payment gateway providers)."
The PG companies processing the cancellations are KG Inicis and NICE Payments.
The cancellation amounts are approximately 2.6 billion KRW for KG Inicis and about 4.2 billion KRW for NICE Payments. The PG companies released the Tmon settlement funds they had been withholding to enforce the cancellations.
Whether a cancellation has been processed can be checked via the card company's app, website, or text message. It may take 3 to 5 days to complete the cancellation.
Tmon stated to customers, "Among some customers whose cancellations have been completed, there have been cases of double refunds, and we plan to provide individual guidance separately," and added, "We are making every effort to ensure refunds are processed for all customers who placed orders. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused."
