WEMAKEPRICE resolved the issue within three days starting from the night of the 24th, and TMON within two days starting from the night of the 25th.

The victims who stayed overnight accepted the proposal after Kwon Dowan, Head of Operations at TMON, who was responsible for the refund site, promised additional refunds and suggested a video conference with victim representatives at 4 PM on Monday the 29th.

Head Kwon informed the victims gathered on site, “So far, refunds have been completed for about 260 to 270 people, and an additional fund worth approximately 1 billion KRW has been secured to proceed with refunds sequentially.”

He also said, “We have secured about 1 billion KRW plus some extra funds. We plan to use this amount to continue processing customer refunds,” and persuaded the victims to disperse by emphasizing, “Reducing customer damage is the most important, so we will continue as funds become available.”

Accordingly, about 200 customers who remained in the morning accepted the company’s promise of additional refunds and began to disperse one after another starting from noon that day.

The previous late afternoon, there was even a victim who brought a medical certificate claiming bruises on the leg from a confrontation with police at the WEMAKEPRICE office.

WEMAKEPRICE started on-site refunds from the early morning of the 25th and completed deposits for more than 2,000 people by the early morning of the previous day, then switched to online refunds.
