Providing Admissions Information Based on Student Grades and Aptitude
High Response from Parents and Students Leads to Expansion
Gijang-gun in Busan will expand its '1:1 Customized College Admission and Career Consulting Support Project' from the original target group of high school seniors and repeaters to include first and second-year high school students starting this August.
This project is a major new educational support initiative launched by Gijang-gun this year to help local students achieve successful college admissions and career paths.
In response to the rapidly changing and increasingly complex college admissions process, the project provides local students with personalized consulting and various admissions information tailored to their individual academic performance and aptitudes.
Since May, the county has been collaborating with the admissions-specialized educational institution 'Jongro Academy' to offer 1:1 customized consulting, operate an admissions cafe, hold college admissions briefings, and provide other admissions materials to high school seniors and repeaters. Systematic analysis and counseling for college admissions and career planning are also being conducted.
Due to the strong response from students and parents who recently participated in the consulting, as well as continuous requests from first and second-year high school students and their parents, the county has decided to expand the project to include these younger students in addition to the original target group.
Career and college admissions consulting for first and second-year students will begin in August. Interested students can apply through the website, and the detailed schedule will be arranged afterward. However, consulting sessions will be scheduled first for seniors and repeaters, followed by second-year and then first-year students.
County Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "We will actively support local students in achieving successful college admissions by providing not only a wide range of admissions information but also systematic analysis and counseling for career and college planning. We encourage many students and parents who have questions or concerns about admissions and college planning to apply."
More detailed information about the 'Customized Career and College Admission Support Project' can be found on the Gijang-gun website or the 1:1 Customized Career and College Admission Consulting website.
