Lee Jae-myung Wins Ulsan Primary with 90.56%... Kim Doo-kwan 8.08%, Kim Ji-soo 1.36%

In the Supreme Council Member Primary, Kim Min-seok Ranks 1st with 20.05%

In the Ulsan primary of the nationwide party member convention to elect the next leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, candidate Lee Jae-myung achieved a landslide victory, securing over 90% of the votes against candidates Kim Doo-kwan and Kim Ji-soo.

According to the Democratic Party on the 27th, candidate Lee received 90.56% of the votes in the 5th regional tour primary online voting for party members held at the Ulsan Munsu Gymnasium. Candidate Kim Doo-kwan received 8.08%, and candidate Kim Ji-soo received 1.36% of the votes.


Candidate Lee has been continuously winning by a large margin, achieving a cumulative vote share of 91.7% in the 1st to 4th primaries (Jeju, Incheon, Gangwon, Daegu·Gyeongbuk). The cumulative vote shares for candidates Kim Doo-kwan and Kim Ji-soo in the 1st to 4th primaries were 7.19% and 1.11%, respectively.


In the Ulsan primary for the Supreme Council member, candidate Kim Min-seok took first place with 20.05%. He was followed by Jeong Bong-ju (16.10%), Jeon Hyun-hee (13.96%), Kim Byung-joo (13.13%), Han Jun-ho (12.84%), Lee Eon-ju (12.23%), Min Hyung-bae (5.99%), and Kang Seon-woo (5.69%).


The Democratic Party plans to continue the primaries in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions later that afternoon.
