The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 26th that they have sent the head instructor A (in his 30s) to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.

A is accused of injuring the face of B (6), a student he was teaching at a Taekwondo academy in Asan, on April 11.

B, who has autism spectrum disorder, was diagnosed with a fractured nasal bone and bruises on his face, requiring three weeks of medical treatment.

During the police investigation, A denied the charges, claiming, "While disciplining, B self-harmed and hit the wall by himself."

The police concluded that A assaulted B based on CCTV footage from inside the Taekwondo academy, B's consistent statements, and a lie detector test.
