The U.S. Department of Commerce announced on the 26th (local time) that the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index rose 2.5% compared to the same period last year. The increase rate compared to the same period last year was 0.1%.


The core PCE price index, excluding energy and food, rose 2.6% compared to the same period last year and 0.2% compared to the previous month.


Both the headline index and the core index met the expert forecasts compiled by Dow Jones.
