Station on Subway Line 2 to encourage citizens to walk. For every citizen who uses the stairs, a donation of 10 KRW is accumulated.
From June last year, about 940,000 citizens used the BNK Health Donation Stairs over one year, accumulating 9.4 million KRW. Busan Bank added an additional 10.6 million KRW, delivering a total of 20 million KRW to ChildFund Korea. The donation will be used to support medical expenses and cultural experience activities for children from vulnerable groups.
Shin Sik, head of Busan Bank’s Central Business Division, said, “A small daily act of climbing the Health Donation Stairs can become a hope that protects precious lives for someone,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in fostering a culture of donation through sharing activities for the local community.”
Since 2016, BNK Busan Bank has raised 20 million KRW annually through the ‘BNK Health Donation Stairs’, donating a total of 160 million KRW over eight years.
