Former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, who was prosecuted on charges of receiving money and support for a Porsche rental car from so-called 'fake seafood businessmen,' was sentenced to a suspended prison term in the first trial.
On the 26th, the Criminal Division 33 of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Dong-hyun) sentenced former special prosecutor Park, who was indicted for violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, to 4 months in prison with a 1-year suspension.

Former special prosecutor Park was non-custodially indicted in November 2022 on charges of receiving seafood worth approximately 860,000 KRW three times from Kim (46), a 'fake seafood businessman,' and using a Porsche vehicle worth about 2.5 million KRW in rental fees free of charge, totaling 3.36 million KRW.
Kim, who is accused of providing a total of approximately 30.19 million KRW in money and goods to former special prosecutor Park and others, was sentenced to 6 months in prison.
Previously, at the sentencing hearing held on the 31st of last month, the prosecution had requested a 1-year prison term for former special prosecutor Park.
Former special prosecutor Park is also separately on trial for charges of receiving money and goods worth over 1 billion KRW in exchange for accommodating the solicitations of private developers involved in the Daejang-dong development project.
