Gangdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 26th that popular actor Guseonghwan, who is loved by the public for his friendly charm, has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for Gangdong-gu.
At the appointment ceremony held at Gangdong-gu Office the day before, Mayor Lee Soo-hee presented actor Guseonghwan with the Gangdong-gu promotional ambassador plaque and the district character ‘Umseupureunjeu’ goods. After the event, Mr. Gu filmed a promotional video at the Open Yard in front of Gangdong-gu Office, sharing his thoughts and future determination as the newly appointed ambassador with the residents.
Actor Guseonghwan, a 20-year veteran in the film industry, has gained much love from viewers through his appearance on MBC’s variety show ‘I Live Alone.’ Currently residing in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, he has a special affection for the district where he has lived since childhood.
On the show ‘I Live Alone,’ he introduces various places in Gangdong-gu, including Amsa General Market, and shows his down-to-earth side at his home in Sipjaseong Village, Cheonho-dong. Moving forward, Mr. Gu will participate in local representative festivals, events, and promotional videos to help promote Gangdong-gu.
