Samjin Pharmaceutical Collaborates with Pharmacy Student Association 'PPL' on Mountain-Linked Marketing Project

Samjin Pharmaceutical recently announced on the 26th that it conducted an 'Industry-Academia-Research Marketing Project' in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Marketing Strategy Society (PPL), a student organization of pharmacy students in the Seoul metropolitan area. This project was organized to provide practical experience and education to pharmacy students interested in the marketing field of pharmaceutical companies.

PPL is the only united marketing society of pharmacy students that studies professional pharmaceutical marketing based on pharmaceutical knowledge. Since its founding in 2014, it has continued active activities with about 30 pharmacy students and over 100 pharmacists who are alumni of the society.


In this project, marketing strategies focused on Samjin Pharmaceutical’s representative brands, the antipyretic analgesic Geborin and the Cheonwangbosimdan sedative solution, were the main topics for various idea contests and competitive presentations. Especially since the project was conducted together with pharmacy students, many innovative ideas that could help the direct sales channel of pharmacies were generated, resulting in enthusiastic responses and energy from the participants. Scholarships were also awarded to society members who achieved excellent results in the project.


A representative from Samjin Pharmaceutical stated, “This project provided a valuable opportunity to view and confirm the brand positions of Geborin and the sedative solution in the analgesic and anti-anxiety markets from the perspectives of pharmacy students and pharmacists,” adding, “We will continue to carry out brand management and maintenance through various activities in the future.”
