Participants can submit photos, poems, or posters.
Anyone interested in human rights, regardless of region or age, can apply individually or as a group.
Applicants can visit the Suwon city website (www.suwon.go.kr), search for ‘Suwon Human Rights Artwork Contest’ in the search bar, download and fill out the application form, and submit it along with their work via email (sunlove79@korea.kr).
Suwon city will form a judging panel composed of experts in each field to select a total of 54 works, including grand prize, excellence award, and encouragement award winners.
The winning works will be exhibited at the Universal Declaration of Human Rights anniversary exhibition and will be made into commemorative items such as calendars for distribution.
A Suwon city official stated, "We hope the human rights artwork contest will spread social awareness of the importance of human rights and the need for human rights education," adding, "We will hold various cultural events using the winning works to promote ‘Human Rights City Suwon’ and create a learning space to enhance human rights sensitivity."
