Recently, Mr. A, who used to post home styling content on Instagram, shared this story under the title "The reason why it was hard to post daily feeds until now." In April, Mr. A returned home earlier than usual with his younger sibling and their spouse, who had come to help install a shelf on the wall. He explained, "For nine months, I came home at the same time every day without missing a single day, but that day was the only time I came home three hours early."

When a guest came over and Mr. A was checking if the toilet was clean, he was startled to see a blinking light on a camera placed on top of the toilet. Mr. A said that someone had installed a black rectangular hidden camera in the gap of the bathroom toilet, facing the shower booth. He claimed, "My husband checks and cleans it every morning, and since it wasn’t there then, it’s certain that someone entered while I was out."

Mr. A said, "I go to exercise at 11 a.m. and leave the house for about an hour," adding, "I don’t know exactly when the perpetrator entered while I was gone." He further speculated, "The perpetrator left the camera and tried to retrieve it before I returned, but I came home earlier than usual, and my younger sibling and their spouse came in with me, so it seems they couldn’t collect it."

Forensic investigators were dispatched to the house, but the investigation faced difficulties. There was no CCTV capturing the floor of the apartment where Mr. A lives, so the perpetrator’s identity could not be confirmed. Also, the camera was a short-recording Chinese-made product made of material that does not retain fingerprints well, and even the camera’s memory chip was damaged and could not be recovered. Mr. A said, "There were so many mysterious aspects that even the police were surprised, making the investigation complicated," adding, "The detective in charge personally inspected the building and made efforts, but since it was an intelligent crime, finding clues was not easy."

Mr. A claimed, "The perpetrator entered by pressing the password on the front door. It’s possible they installed a camera near the door to learn the code," and added, "I didn’t even know there was such a space under the bidet. It seems to be a habitual offender." He said the incident was so distressing that it even caused him to develop alopecia areata. He shared, "I had a hard time thinking that my home was no longer a safe space," and emphasized, "Just being aware that such things can happen can help people be more cautious, so I gathered the courage to share this despite the risks, hoping that such incidents won’t happen again." He advised people to check their surroundings before pressing a touch-type door lock, wipe the fingerprint off after pressing it, and suggested that installing a camera at the front door is also a good precaution."
