On the occasion of the Rural-Urban Exchange Day, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that 'Icheon Nadri,' the city's designated Rural-Urban Exchange Center, received a commendation from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for its contribution to revitalizing rural tourism.
Icheon Nadri is an institution designated as a Rural-Urban Exchange Center by Icheon City in 2016 to promote experiential tourism. Icheon Nadri has actively carried out projects to promote exchanges and experiential tourism between rural and urban areas, and in particular, it has actively operated local experiential farms and villages by applying for the Rural-Urban Exchange Cooperation public project of the Korea Rural Community Corporation.

Based on the experiential tourism resources owned by Icheon Nadri, the city developed differentiated tourism content and products and promoted local tourism resources through the operation of city tour courses.
In the case of the 'Icheon City Tour,' the 'Mogawon Tourism Course' includes Icheon Termeden, Ladravi, Simmons Terrace, and Seogyeong Reservoir, and the 'Icheon Northern, Central, and Southern Courses' include Sansuyu Village, Seogyeongdeul Village, Icheon Agricultural Theme Park, Pig Museum, Buremi Village, and Umusil Village. The city also operates a 'Horse Riding Experience Course.'
In the first half of this year, the city introduced planned tour courses such as ▲ Spring Spring Icheon, Spring Flower Travel ▲ Icheon Rice Tasting Travel, featuring Seolbong Park, Janghowon Peach Orchard, traditional markets, and Rice Day events. The 'Spring Spring Icheon, Spring Flower Travel' course focuses on cherry blossoms and Janghowon peach blossom tours, turning specialties such as Icheon Ceramic Art Village, Janghowon Traditional Market, and Local Food Direct Market into tourism resources. The 'Rice Tasting Travel' product was operated by linking the Rice Day event participation theme with Our Seed, a sensory cafe, and the Local Food Direct Market as a tourism course.
An official from Icheon Nadri said, "Based on the support from Icheon City, we will further strive to activate exchanges between rural and urban areas and to develop and promote local tourism content."
