CJ CheilJedang has launched ‘Baeksul Double Crispy Soybean Oil,’ which enhances the crispy texture of fried foods. This product increases the crispiness more than twice compared to the existing Baeksul soybean oil and helps prevent the food from becoming soggy easily. CJ CheilJedang’s new technology, the ‘Crispy Method,’ is applied, allowing moisture in the fried food to escape quickly, thereby creating more ‘pore structures,’ which are empty spaces inside the batter. Additionally, a five-step refining system using an activated carbon filter is applied to reduce the unique fishy smell of soybean oil and deliver a clean flavor.

On the 25th, 7-Eleven is launching two types of its private brand (PB) sparkling water in response to the zero-calorie soda trend. Given the recent economic difficulties due to high inflation and interest rates, 7-Eleven focused on lowering prices during development. The newly released Seven Select Sparkling Water comes in two flavors: lemon and lime. It is a color-free, sugar-free, zero-calorie beverage that contains refreshing natural fruit flavors along with carbonation. It is about 30% cheaper than regular sparkling waters sold on the market, making it easy to enjoy without burden. To celebrate the launch, 7-Eleven will also hold a 2+1 promotion throughout August.

Shinsegae Food is releasing a limited edition sports edition of ‘Brand Cola,’ a carbonated drink exclusive to No Brand Burger, featuring the character ‘Bunni Konbiny’ by emerging artist Stella Lin. This sports edition is part of Shinsegae Food’s collaboration efforts to discover and nurture new artists. The rabbit character ‘Bunni Konbiny’ is incorporated as a design element on the can packaging. To commemorate sports events, the character is depicted enjoying Taekwondo and archery, expressing support for South Korea’s success. Shinsegae Food will release 500,000 limited edition Brand Cola Sports Edition cans nationwide at No Brand Burger stores starting from the 26th.

Mega MGC Coffee has collaborated with HoYoverse’s global game ‘Genshin Impact’ to release three new menu items and five types of goods in a limited edition. Through this collaboration, they launched menus inspired by the game’s character ‘Wanderer,’ the ‘Fairy Cat’ resembling the Wanderer, and the collaboration region ‘Sumeru.’ ‘Wanderer! Wanna fly with Highball Ade?’ is a non-alcoholic highball ade that resembles the game character’s visual and changes color when mixed. ‘The Whole World is Sumeru! Choco Gelato Green Tea Latte’ represents the collaboration region’s Forest of Wisdom, blending Jeju green tea, choco gelato, and blended coffee. ‘Fairy Cat Cream Soda Cup Bingsu’ is a cup bingsu with cream soda flavor topped with fairy cat chocolate. The collaboration goods include ▲tumblers ▲mugs ▲stick coffee 2 SET ▲acrylic stands ▲acrylic keyrings (random) among five types.
