Ahead of the presidential office's visit to congratulate Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, on his reappointment, the Jo Guk Innovation Party has begun to actively move toward the impeachment and resignation of President Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 25th, Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, said at the "Three Years Is Too Long Special Committee" (Impeachment Committee) held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, "Since its founding, the Jo Guk Innovation Party has consistently advocated for the early end of the prosecutorial dictatorship regime during the 22nd general election process," adding, "The public has already psychologically impeached this regime due to its tiresome lawlessness, irresponsibility, incompetence, and insensitivity." He also emphasized, "At the first nationwide party members' meeting of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, I promised to do everything necessary for the impeachment and resignation of President Yoon, regardless of means or methods," and "Rather than explaining the legal procedures and requirements for impeachment, I want to tune into the hearts of the people."

Hwang Unha, floor leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, said, "The people have judged the Yoon Seok-yeol administration twice," explaining, "The first 'yellow card' was the ruling party's crushing defeat in the 22nd general election. The second yellow card was the fact that Won Hee-ryong, who was openly supported by the pro-Yoon faction at the People Power Party's leadership election, received less than one-third of the votes compared to Han Dong-hoon, the newly appointed leader of the People Power Party." He continued, "Now, a 'red card' is needed," and declared, "We will unite our strength for impeachment or regime resignation, reflecting the people's aspirations."

The Jo Guk Innovation Party plans to actively carry out movements for President Yoon's impeachment and resignation through the Impeachment Committee. Jo Guk will serve as the chairperson of the committee, and Hwang Unha will be the vice-chairperson. Under the committee, there are three subcommittees: the Prosecutorial Reform Committee, the Truth Investigation Committee on State Affairs Manipulation, and the Citizens' Wave. The Citizens' Wave is an organization that plans and executes campaigns related to President Yoon's impeachment and resignation. A State Affairs Manipulation Reporting Center has also been established to receive reports from public officials, military personnel, and police officers. The Impeachment Committee holds public meetings every Thursday.

Meanwhile, Hong Cheol-ho, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs at the presidential office, will visit Jo Guk, who succeeded in his reappointment as party leader, on the morning of the same day. Last month on the 10th, Hong visited Jo and delivered a congratulatory flower arrangement for President Yoon's election as a member of the National Assembly. At that time, Jo gifted Hong a badge symbolizing the late martyr Park Jong-cheol and emphasized the necessity of the Special Prosecutor Law for Sergeant Chae.
