Shinhan Bank and Hankyung University Join Hands for ESG Industry-Academic Cooperation on Employment of Disabled Youth

Shinhan Bank has signed a business agreement with Hankyong National University to strengthen the employment capabilities and job development of young people with disabilities.

On the 24th, Shinhan Bank announced on the 25th that it signed an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) industry-academic cooperation agreement with Hankyong National University at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, to enhance the employment capabilities and job development of young people with disabilities.

Hankyong National University is the largest comprehensive educational institution specializing in education for people with disabilities in Korea, equipped with a specialized campus for disabled education and providing customized curricula for social advancement of disabled students, including sign language education, special physical education, and medical rehabilitation.

Through this business agreement, Shinhan Bank and Hankyong National University agreed to cooperate in ▲ strengthening the employment capabilities of young people with disabilities to pursue social diversity ▲ creating jobs for people with disabilities and developing job roles, supporting the independence and growth of young people with disabilities.

After the agreement, both parties will conduct a student demand survey for the educational program, design the curriculum, and begin recruiting students. Starting early next year, they plan to officially operate programs to strengthen employment capabilities and job development for disabled students.
