Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held a sales channel support briefing session on the afternoon of the 24th in collaboration with Public Home Shopping (CEO Cho Seong-ho), under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, to promote the development of small business owners and SMEs and revitalize the local economy.

The briefing session, held at the Public Home Shopping headquarters, was arranged at the suggestion of Mapo-gu to introduce Public Home Shopping’s business to small business owners and startups in Mapo-gu and support them in pioneering sales channels using it.

About 20 small business owners and startups who participated in the briefing session listened to detailed explanations about the role of Public Home Shopping, store entry procedures, success cases, and support projects, followed by a Q&A session.

Additionally, participants visited Public Home Shopping’s public live broadcast studio and TV home shopping studio to observe the facilities and equipment used for broadcasting and toured the customer center.

Baek Yang-mi, CEO of Baeknyeon Tojong Samgyetang, who attended the briefing, said, “This briefing will be very helpful for business expansion,” adding, “In particular, I want to use the social commerce I learned about today to expand sales channels and let more consumers know about our high-quality products.”

Furthermore, the participants spent a meaningful time sharing and promoting each company’s products and services to each other and forming networks.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “We prepared this briefing session to become a strong supporter of small business owners and SMEs, the backbone of the local economy,” and added, “Mapo-gu will spare no support so that small business owners and SMEs in the area can exhibit products and engage in social commerce activities on Hongdae Red Road, where the floating population is the largest.”

In addition, Mapo-gu is supporting low-interest loans by securing a special credit guarantee fund of 100 billion KRW over four years in cooperation with Woori Bank and Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to promote a new leap for small business owners and revitalize the local economy.
