"Importance of Community Trust" Reflects Founder’s Philosophy
EcoPro announced on the 24th that it has published the ‘2023 EcoPro Social Contribution Report,’ which consolidates its social contribution activities. This is the first time EcoPro has produced a social contribution report.
The report, themed ‘A Great Journey with Communities,’ includes a total of 24 social contribution programs such as ▲operating the ‘Onnuri Sports Team,’ a sports team for people with disabilities ▲running the university student volunteer group ‘EcoBridge’ ▲hosting the children’s environmental festival ‘Eco Green Day’ ▲supporting Mother Box to overcome low birth rates.
Since its founding in 1998, EcoPro has expanded its social contribution capabilities based on the founder’s management philosophy that “trust with the local community is essential for the company’s growth and development.”
EcoPro allocates a portion of its profits to caring for local communities and underprivileged neighbors and rewards employees who engage in exemplary social contribution activities.
The Onnuri Sports Team, established in 2019 to improve the training environment and create jobs for athletes with disabilities, started with 23 athletes in 6 sports and has now expanded to 58 athletes in 11 sports.
Last year, the Onnuri Sports Team achieved its best results since its founding by winning a total of 52 medals, including 10 gold medals, at the National Disabled Sports Festival, significantly contributing to Chungcheongbuk-do’s 4th place nationwide ranking.
EcoPro also achieved the distinction of being selected as a Community Contribution Recognized Company for five consecutive years in the ‘Community Contribution Recognition System’ evaluation jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare at the end of 2023.
In the foreword, EcoPro CEO Song Hojun stated, “We will continue our efforts to deliver warm hands and warmth of sharing that make the world a kinder place.”
