Rises from 2nd-3rd Place to 1st After Appearing on The Jimmy Fallon Show
Group BTS member Jimin has surpassed Taylor Swift to become the first Asian artist to rank number one on the global digital artist ranking.
On the 23rd, Jimin, who released his second solo album 'Muse' on the 19th, topped the 'Global Digital Artist Ranking.' The 'Global Digital Artist Ranking' represents the ranking of artists most consumed across global music platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, Apple Music, and Shazam. Previously ranked 2nd and 3rd, Jimin dethroned Taylor Swift, who had firmly held the number one spot, reclaiming the throne. Following them, Billie Eilish, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter took the 3rd to 5th places.
The 23rd, when Jimin reached the top of the global artist chart, was also the day his performance of 'Who,' the title track of 'Muse,' was first revealed on NBC's talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jimin's second solo album 'Muse' has been receiving continuous praise from major pop-related foreign media.
