The Four-Minute Miracle That Saves Lives... Gijang County Offers On-Site CPR Training

Starting with Cheolmamyeon on the 26th, visiting towns and villages

Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 23rd that the "On-site CPR Training" program promoted by the county health center is receiving a positive response from local residents.

The "On-site CPR Training Program" was established to improve emergency response skills for local residents who find it difficult to visit the health center or CPR training facilities due to time or distance constraints.

Upon request from local residents, companies, organizations, and village senior centers, certified CPR instructors visit the site directly to provide training on emergency care theory, CPR, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

From April to June, the training was conducted for about 250 residents over eight sessions, focusing on hands-on practice using mannequins rather than just theoretical instruction.

Additionally, the county plans to operate the "On-site CPR Training at Town and Township Offices" at nearby administrative welfare centers to allow more residents to participate. The training will begin on the 26th in Cheolmamyeon, followed by Gijangeup and Janganeup.

One participant said, "Through this training, I gained the confidence that I can protect the lives of my precious family and neighbors by responding quickly with CPR and other emergency measures without panicking in an emergency situation."

An official from the Gijang-gun Health Center promised, "We will continue to promote on-site CPR training to protect the precious lives of our residents and ensure that the golden time is not missed in the event of a cardiac arrest."
