Forest Cooperatives Provide 'Beolcho Helper' Service Before Chuseok Provided by the Korea Federation of Forest Cooperatives

The Forest Cooperative's grave site management business began in 1992. Currently, it possesses specialized skills not only in harvesting but also in lawn repair, damaged site restoration, and landscaping.

In particular, it prevents lost graves through the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) and a grave site history management system, providing comprehensive grave site management agency services to increase user satisfaction.

The fee for the Forest Cooperative's harvesting helper service is set based on the basic unit price for each member cooperative and is applied differently depending on the number, area, and distance of the grave sites.

Some cooperatives offer a 10% discount for members and a 5% discount for those who request harvesting work continuously for more than three years.

The intensive operation period for the harvesting helper service is from the 22nd of this month to September 13. However, the actual operation period may vary depending on the situation of each regional cooperative.

For applications to use the harvesting helper service and other detailed information, guidance can be obtained through the regional forest cooperative where the grave site is located or the Korea Federation of Forest Cooperatives.

A representative of the Forest Cooperative said, “It is important to choose and request a professional company capable of continuous management for harvesting. Above all, since there is a risk of grave site damage, selecting a professional company that can ensure the expertise of the workers and eliminate potential risks that may occur during Chuseok ancestral visits is essential.”
