Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch Introduces 'AI Human' for Foreign Customer Service

Hyundai Department Store announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a pilot operation of the 'AI Human' response service at Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo until the 18th of next month.


The AI Human, developed in collaboration with generative AI specialist DeepBrain AI, is a retail-specialized response service capable of voice conversations in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Customers scan a QR code attached in areas with many foreign customers, such as the service lounge, with their smartphones, and a virtual staff member appears to assist them.


After learning information related to the Songdo branch, the AI Human system provides voice answers along with reference images and text on the screen when foreign customers ask questions about brands in the store, major events, restaurants and cafes, tax refunds, parking, and more.

This AI Human service also offers customized shopping information for foreign customers. It displays useful information such as introductions to top brands with a high proportion of foreign sales and promotions targeting foreign customers on the main screen. Hyundai Department Store expects these features to satisfy the shopping needs of foreign customers.


A representative of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo said, "The AI Human service was developed to provide directions to stores considering the large space and widely spread brands of the premium outlet structure, and to recommend information of high interest to foreign customers," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide a differentiated shopping environment."
