Toss Securities Officially Launches Overseas Bond Service

Real-Time Trading of U.S. Treasury and Corporate Bonds

Toss Securities announced on the 23rd that it has officially launched its overseas bond service.

Toss Securities Officially Launches Overseas Bond Service

The Toss Securities overseas bond service features the ability to trade U.S. Treasury and corporate bonds easily and conveniently on the Mobile Trading System (MTS), just like trading stocks. Investors can trade approximately 20 to 30 different U.S. Treasury and corporate bonds starting from a minimum face value of $1,000. The service offers a variety of maturities ranging from as short as 2 months to as long as 25 years, including U.S. Treasury bonds and corporate bonds from companies such as Apple, Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Amazon.

With the intuitive screen layout and user experience of Toss Securities’ MTS, bond information such as credit rating, maturity, and yield can be viewed at a glance. Using the bond maturity yield calculator, users can check the expected maturity amount both before and after taxes.

Another feature is the ability to trade in real time without being restricted by investment hours. Orders can be placed 22 hours a day, excluding the hours from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. (based on daylight saving time), allowing trading around the clock just like stock trading. Real-time orders are available during regular U.S. bond trading hours, while reservation orders can be placed outside those hours.

The Toss Securities overseas bond service is accessible through the Securities tab and the Discover menu in the Toss app.

Bonds pay interest regularly after purchase, and if there are no issues with the issuer’s debt repayment ability at maturity, the principal can also be recovered. It is also possible to sell bonds before maturity to liquidate them. Individual investors can diversify their asset portfolios by adding bonds as an investment option alongside Korean and U.S. stocks within Toss Securities.

A representative from Toss Securities stated, “We focused on making overseas bonds, which may feel unfamiliar and difficult compared to stocks, easy for anyone to understand and invest in,” adding, “We will continue to develop innovative investment products to help customers maintain balanced investments.”
