Ten domestic companies have completed all damage recovery from the information and communication (IT) network outage incident that occurred on the 19th.

According to the IT industry and authorities on the 22nd, the instability of servers and website outages experienced by ten domestic companies, including low-cost carriers (LCCs) and online game companies, caused by a security program distributed by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike conflicting with MS Windows, were all resolved on the same day.

The Ministry of Science and ICT stated that the domestic companies affected by the global IT outage included three low-cost carriers and two game companies, totaling ten companies.

The ticketing and reservation systems and online websites of Jeju Air, Eastar Jet, and Air Premia, which experienced errors starting around 3:30 PM on the 19th, were fully restored by around 3:30 AM on the 20th, completing recovery within 12 hours.

On the same day, Pearl Abyss, the operator of the online game "Geomeun Sadak" (Black Desert), announced that its response to the server instability incident was completed.

Recovery work for the remaining undisclosed companies was also completed that afternoon.

Among the 26 major telecommunications operators, including 11 period telecommunications companies with reporting obligations under the Broadcasting and Communications Development Basic Act (such as SK Telecom, KT, LG Uplus), 7 value-added telecommunications companies (such as Naver, Kakao, Google), and 8 data centers (such as SK Broadband, Naver Cloud), no damage occurred.

The Ministry of Science and ICT, which had warned against phishing attacks impersonating CrowdStrike product updates or deletions, added, "It is understood that no cyberattack damage related to this incident occurred domestically."
