Following the recent incident where a senior administrative officer at the Presidential Office was caught driving under the influence, it has now emerged that an employee of the Presidential Security Service has also been referred to the prosecution on charges of sexual harassment on the subway. The Security Service stated that "disciplinary procedures will be carried out."

On the 22nd, the Security Service expressed regret over the referral of their employee to the prosecution on sexual harassment charges, stating, "We will proceed with disciplinary procedures in accordance with relevant regulations, reflecting the final judgment of the investigative authorities."

Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Subway Investigation Unit announced that it had referred Security Service employee A to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office last week on charges of molestation in a crowded public place.

A is alleged to have touched a woman's body inside a subway train in April. The Security Service placed A on standby duty on the day they were notified of the police investigation.

Previously, senior administrative officer B of the Presidential Office was caught driving under the influence around 9:50 p.m. on the 7th of last month in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The police referred B to the prosecution without detention on the 15th of the same month, but it was reported that B continued to come to work at the Presidential Office afterward, sparking controversy.

After the DUI incident was reported by the media on the 17th, the Presidential Office excluded B from duties two days later and stated that "measures will be taken according to legal procedures."
