Samsung SDS supports digital innovation in the public sector through participation in cloud and generative artificial intelligence (AI) businesses.
On the 23rd, Samsung SDS announced that it was selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the "Super-large AI-based Platform Utilization Support" consulting project led by the National Information Society Agency (NIA). It will provide the generative AI platform "FabriX" to administrative and public institutions that wish to utilize super-large AI.
FabriX is a cloud-based generative AI service platform that supports the fast and convenient application of generative AI to corporate work systems. When FabriX is applied in the public sector, it is expected to innovate not only the way public officials work but also services for the public by utilizing generative AI.
Samsung SDS plans to support public institutions adopting FabriX with ▲in-depth consulting ▲proof of concept (PoC) ▲optimization and advancement support ▲generative AI utilization education and seminars.
Since May, Samsung SDS has been providing the Samsung SDS generative AI service "Brity Copilot" to Incheon International Airport Corporation. Brity Copilot is a service that applies generative AI technology to collaboration solutions frequently used during work, such as email, messenger, meetings, and document management.
Additionally, Samsung SDS is actively expanding its cloud business in the public sector.
Samsung SDS was selected as the business operator for the "Cloud Service Public-Private Cooperation Project" at the Daegu Center of the National Information Resources Service under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and plans to provide cloud services to central administrative agencies and public institutions.
In this project, Samsung SDS will provide stable services based on the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) by utilizing space within the Daegu Center.
Samsung SDS has configured the system to separate internet networks, administrative networks, and public networks to ensure data is securely protected, and has established a system that automatically manages system accounts and access in various cloud environments to further enhance security.
Also, the architecture design and construction will be completed within this month, and after passing the security compliance review, the cloud service is scheduled to officially open in October. Samsung SDS also held offline seminars twice this year for about 200 public institutions preparing for generative AI adoption and cloud transition.
Lee Jeong-heon, Vice President and Head of Strategy Marketing at Samsung SDS, said, "We will actively support more public institutions to achieve work innovation through the Samsung Cloud Platform and generative AI services."
