Establishing a Close Collaboration System
All-out Efforts to Secure National Budget
Kim Gwangyeol, the governor of Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province, recently visited the National Assembly and the Ministry of Economy and Finance in succession to secure cooperation and national funding for major pending projects next year.

On the 16th, Governor Kim first met with Park Hyungsu, the local National Assembly member, at the National Assembly to explain the validity and necessity of key projects and requested active support.
Then, on the 19th, he met with budget officials at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the Sejong Government Complex to explain the importance and expected effects of major pending projects and proposed their inclusion in the national budget.
The major projects proposed by Governor Kim include: ▲ Creation of the East Coast National Trail ▲ Yeongdeok National Geopark Ecological Trail Project ▲ Establishment of a Wind Power Maintenance Workforce Training Center ▲ Construction of the Ganggu-Chuksan section of National Route 20 ▲ Establishment of a Deep-Sea Marine Bio Bank ▲ Creation of the Whale Sea Rest Area ▲ Chuksan Port Fishing Port Function Improvement Project, among others.
So far, Yeongdeok County has been focusing its administrative efforts on securing national funding by opening an office in Sejong City last year to establish a cooperative system with central government agencies and holding strategic meetings with the participation of all departments.
