DearU announced on the 22nd that through its US subsidiary (DearU International), it has completed a Bubble service contract with global popular artist J Balvin ahead of launching a fan communication platform to provide services locally.
The newly signed J Balvin is a singer from Colombia. He boasts a brilliant award history including multiple Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and Latin Grammys. Known as the 'king' of reggaeton and Latin pop genres, he is the first Latin artist to achieve 1 billion streams on Apple Music. He has sold over 35 million records worldwide and has more than 50 million official Instagram followers.
His YouTube channel also has over 34 million subscribers. He quickly broke down cultural barriers and built a global fan base by rapidly becoming a top 10 streamed artist after his debut. Balvin, who has passions in various fields such as music, fashion, art, and mental health, continues to be an active artist leading representation in multiple industries.
J Balvin enjoys great popularity not only in Latin America but also in major music markets worldwide. He has proven his musical talent and popularity by winning numerous awards including 18 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 17 Premios Juventud, 5 Latin Grammy Awards, and 5 Latin American Music Awards.
Since establishing its US local subsidiary last May, DearU has been intensifying its one-on-one communication platform business for global artists and fans active in the Americas. The company aims to take a step forward as a global fan communication IT platform by introducing the successfully operated domestic ‘Bubble’ service to overseas markets, strengthening communication between local artists and fans.
The US subsidiary plans to aggressively recruit local artists for a successful local landing. The contract with J Balvin is the first step in this strategy, and the company plans to actively recruit artists from various genres going forward.
Additionally, DearU recently completed US patent registration for a personalized messaging service system related to ‘Bubble,’ and preparations for the local service launch are progressing smoothly. DearU’s patented technology generates customized messages based on user information and delivers artist messages by receiving user feedback. A central server coordinates communication between both sides to generate personalized messages by replacing the identification code of artist-written messages with user nicknames, anniversaries, location information, and more.
DearU CEO An Jong-oh said, “We are pleased to welcome J Balvin, who enjoys worldwide popularity, as a partner ahead of the US service launch,” and added, “We will continue to make every effort to recruit global artists and provide special experiences to local fans.”
