Earn up to 3 miles for every 1,500 KRW spent
Hanacard announced on the 22nd that it will launch two types of Travelog Korean Air Mileage Cards.
The Travelog Korean Air Mileage Card accumulates up to 3 miles per 1,500 KRW spent domestically. Overseas spending is used in the same way as the Travelog check card through foreign currency Hana Money. The card can be used as a credit card by changing the card settings. The three major Travelog benefits, including free currency exchange, free overseas usage fees, and free overseas ATM withdrawal fees, are also available.
The Travelog mileage service will be operated in seasons. This mileage card, operated as "Season 1" until the end of the year, grants a welcome mileage of 3,000 to 5,000 miles upon issuance. Depending on the previous month's spending, users can access airport lounges worldwide 2 to 4 times. Hanacard plans to introduce "Season 2" in December to provide additional benefits annually.
Additionally, on the 25th, Hanacard will expand the Travelog "1/N settlement" function to foreign currencies. Users can choose between KRW and foreign currencies for travel expense settlements. Settlement amounts can be entered manually or selected from payment records. On the same day, the number of currencies available for exchange will increase to 53. This adds 12 currencies including Nepal, Chile, Colombia, and Pakistan, four months after expanding to 41 currencies in April. Next month, five more currencies such as Algeria and Ethiopia will be added, bringing the total to 58.
On the 30th, Travelog will launch "Travel Mode." This feature is optimized to allow easy and fast use of essential overseas travel functions such as currency exchange, payments, free foreign currency remittances, and travel expense settlements. This function enables quick response even in emergencies like pickpocketing during overseas travel.
Travelog is Hana Financial Group’s representative overseas travel service that is transforming the overseas travel experience with 24/7 mobile currency exchange. The service has been continuously expanded, including the launch of open banking services in April. Additionally, designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission, the foreign currency money limit per currency was increased to 3 million KRW, and a free foreign currency remittance function between Travelog users was introduced.
Lee Seok, Executive Director of Hanacard’s Digital Global Group, said, "This new product completes the Travelog lineup following the Travelog check card and credit card," adding, "We will continue to expand customer-centered benefits and enhance service quality."
