Up to 500,000 KRW Purchase Per Person Per Month, 1,500,000 KRW Holding Limit
Seongbuk-gu Bears Full Discount Compensation Without National or City Subsidies Again
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will issue 10 billion KRW worth of the 3rd Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates at 10 a.m. on the 1st of next month to coincide with the summer vacation season.
To support small business owners and residents struggling with high inflation and high interest rates, the 3rd issuance of the Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates will be fully funded by the district office without any national or city subsidies, just like the 2nd issuance.
The discount rate for the gift certificates is 5%, with a maximum purchase limit of 500,000 KRW per person per month and a holding limit of 1,500,000 KRW. They can be used at Seongbuk Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores within Seongbuk-gu.
To purchase the Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates, users must reinstall the newly updated Seoul Pay Plus app, which has been available since April. The app offers more benefits than before, including expanded card company options for purchase, the ability to pay with both district and metropolitan gift certificates, and immediate restoration of gift certificates after payment cancellations.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “I hope this will somewhat help residents whose spending increases during the summer vacation season and serve as a refreshing gift to small business owners who are working hard despite the difficult economic situation and the heat.”
