The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will implement, for the first time in the nation, a 'Recruitment Exam for Probationary Employees Who Are Graduates (or Prospective Graduates) of Vocational High Schools Specializing in Commerce' through an Outstanding Talent Recommendation System.
The 'Outstanding Talent Recommendation System' aims to expand opportunities for vocational high school graduates with experience in commerce to enter public service, and is being introduced this year for the first time by the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeonggi Offices of Education.
Through this exam, the Busan Office of Education plans to select three students from the Busan area who have completed courses in management and finance at vocational high schools specializing in commerce.
Eligible candidates are graduates or prospective graduates whose graduation date is within one year of the final exam date, and the recommendation must be made by the school principal.
The eligibility criteria are: ▲ Completion of at least 50% of the total specialized curriculum units, including office management (or office administration) and accounting principles (or accounting practice); ▲ An average subject achievement level of B or higher as of the recommendation date, with at least 50% of subjects at level A; ▲ A general subject average class rank of 3.5 or higher.
The principal's letter of recommendation must be submitted to the city Office of Education between July 22 and 26. Recommended candidates must also submit their application through the 'Application Submission Site' during the same period.
The written exam will be held on August 31, and the interview will take place on October 19. The three final successful candidates will work as probationary employees for six months next year, after which their appointment as level 9 local education administration officials will be determined based on their performance evaluation and appointment review.
