Hyundai Motor Company lifted the winner's trophy at the 4th round of the global top-tier touring car competition, the '2024 TCR World Tour' race in Brazil. With this, Hyundai has reached the top of the podium for the second time this year.
Hyundai announced on the 22nd that the 'Elantra N TCR (domestic name Avante N TCR)' won the 4th round of the 2024 TCR World Tour held at the Interlagos Circuit in S?o Paulo, Brazil, from the 19th to the 21st (local time).
Norbert Michelisz, who competed in the Elantra N TCR race car, crossed the finish line fastest in the second final race held on the 21st, securing the victory.
Norbert Michelisz earned 30 points for winning the second final race, and combined with the 16 points he gained by finishing 6th in the first final race held on the 20th, he accumulated a total of 46 points, maintaining his position as the number one driver in the 2024 season standings.
Hyundai is continuing this season with Norbert Michelisz, who won the overall driver championship in the 2023 TCR World Tour, 2022 champion Mikel Azcona, and newly recruited Nestor Girolami.

The TCR World Tour is a 'Customer Racing' competition where manufacturers are prohibited from direct participation, and professional racing teams that purchase manufacturer race cars compete.
The TCR World Tour is the world's top global competition using TCR race cars. It operates by determining rankings based on results from races held at regional TCR events around the world.
The TCR series includes up to 40 competitions worldwide, including continental and national events, with up to 650 drivers participating in each TCR series event. Among them, the TCR World Tour, the top global competition, consists of a total of 7 rounds this year, starting with the opening race held in Italy, followed by the Brazil race, and upcoming races in Uruguay, China, and Macau.
The fifth race of the TCR World Tour is scheduled to be held in Uruguay from August 2nd to 4th.
