Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) held an implementation plan briefing session for its university members regarding the Glocal University 30 Project.
Dongseo University announced on the 22nd that on the 18th, about 170 key executives, faculty and staff, students, and teaching assistants gathered at the New Millennium Hall's medium-sized screening room on the Jurye Campus to hold an implementation plan briefing session for the official designation as a Glocal University.
The briefing session, which began with Planning and Research Director Cho Daesu as the host, included a comprehensive explanation of the three innovation directions and eight implementation strategies of the Glocal University project, followed by detailed presentations on each task by the Academic Affairs Director, International Affairs Director, and Industry-Academia Cooperation Director.
During this session, the direction and progress of the Glocal University project pursued by the alliance university (Dongseo University - Dong-A University) were shared, and there was time for collecting various opinions and communication.
Under the vision of the 'Busan Open-type Alliance University,' which aims to realize mutual benefits for Busan City and the university based on an integrated industrial complex, Dongseo University plans to promote the Glocal project in cooperation with Dong-A University and Busan City, with goals such as an open campus, an integrated industrial-academic alliance university, and the No.1 Global Asia international student-friendly alliance university.
An implementation plan linked with local governments and regional industries will be submitted by the 26th, and the final designation, in which about 10 universities will be selected, is scheduled to be announced at the end of August.
