Emergency Relief Food Delivered Through National Food Bank for Flood Victims
Nongshim Kellogg recently announced on the 22nd that it will urgently provide 110,000 servings of food to help disaster victims affected by the recent heavy rains.
Nongshim Kellogg plans to quickly distribute food to evacuees and relief workers staying at shelters through the Korea National Council on Social Welfare's nationwide Food Bank, a public institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Nutritious foods such as cereals and energy bars, which are easy to consume, will be delivered to help disaster victims living in temporary shelters have hearty meals.
Jung In-ho, CEO of Nongshim Kellogg, said, "We hope to provide a small help to the residents struggling due to the recent heavy rains and pray that they return to their daily lives as soon as possible. As heavy rains are expected to continue across the country, we will continuously monitor the situation in local communities and spare no effort in providing necessary support."
Meanwhile, Nongshim Kellogg has consistently provided relief in national disasters and calamities. In April last year, during the forest fire damage in Chungnam and Daejeon regions, and in July during the heavy rain damage in Chungcheong, Gyeongbuk, and Jeonbuk, the company promptly delivered about 130,000 servings of cereals and energy bars to disaster victims and relief workers, assisting in recovery efforts.
