According to the YouTube channel 'BogyeomTV' on the 22nd, Bogyeom uploaded a video titled “Due to this heavy rain, the flood submerged my house” the day before. A subscriber named Sim, who introduced himself as the son-in-law of the village chief of Jeongbaengi Village, reported the flood damage, saying, “As a son-in-law, there is no way I can help, but I am sending this email out of frustration and helplessness.” After checking the damage situation through the video, Bogyeom said, “I can’t just stand by and do nothing. I will head out immediately,” and went to Jeongbaengi Village. The area was flooded on the morning of the 10th around 4 a.m. by a sudden torrent, submerging all roads leading to the village, and about 30 residents living in 27 households were isolated. At the site, orchards, fields, and houses were all flooded, and restoration work was underway.

In particular, the villagers effectively lost all their possessions due to the flooding. The village chief’s wife, who was the first to witness the flood, told Bogyeom, “The water reached up to here on the roof,” and lamented, “We had to throw away all the furniture, the refrigerator, and not even a single spoon was left.” In response, Bogyeom said, “I couldn’t just stay still after seeing this,” and ordered ramen, drinks, toilet paper, instant rice, snacks, and more from a supermarket. The store clerk was surprised, asking, “All of this?” but Bogyeom paid and transported all these items to the flood site.

Afterwards, Bogyeom visited Samsung Plaza and called the village chief, asking, “I was thinking of buying and sending washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators. Would you be able to receive them if I send them?” After receiving permission from the chief, Bogyeom confirmed the number of households and ordered not only washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators but also fans and rice cookers for Jeongbaengi Village. It is estimated that the amount he spent for Jeongbaengi Village ranges from tens of millions of KRW to as much as 100 million KRW.

Netizens who saw this expressed warm reactions such as, “I hope there are more people like this in our society, which has become cold,” and “A rewarding video during difficult times.” A netizen who identified as a resident of Jeongbaengi Village commented, “I watched the video several times inside a tent at the community welfare center at 3 a.m. and read the comments for over an hour,” adding, “It’s hard for an individual to give such a big gift so readily; he seems like an angel sent from heaven. I am also very grateful to those who left supportive comments.”
