Samsung Electronics Surpasses 200,000 Households with 'SmartThings Pro' Applied Apartments

Since November 2020, a total of 248 apartment complexes and 200,000 households introduced

Samsung Electronics announced on the 22nd that the number of smart apartments applying its AI B2B (business-to-business) solution 'SmartThings Pro' has surpassed 200,000 households.


The 'Smart Apartment Solution,' which specializes 'SmartThings Pro' for apartment complexes, has expanded its application range to a total of 248 complexes and 200,000 households since starting with Samsung C&T's Raemian Leaders One in November 2020. In addition, the smart apartment solution has been applied through cooperative construction with many builders, including large construction companies, small and medium-sized builders, and high-end officetels.

The smart apartment solution allows control of various devices inside the home, such as home appliances, lighting, heating and cooling systems, ventilation devices, motorized blinds and curtains, as well as convenience information like elevator calls, parking information, unmanned parcel management, and visitor vehicle registration?all managed through a single application (app).


It also enables systematic energy management through the 'SmartThings Energy' service, which allows real-time checking of electricity bills and usage, as well as carbon emissions based on device usage. In particular, by pre-setting devices to operate in 'AI Saving Mode,' the mode automatically activates according to selected options, and features such as the 'Energy Saving Mission,' which provides benefits proportional to the amount of electricity saved during power reduction alerts (DR issuance), incorporate game elements.


Additionally, by using the '3D Map View' that displays the floor plan of your home in 3D, users can intuitively check and manage the status of home appliances connected to SmartThings by space, as well as lighting, temperature, air quality, and energy consumption.


Park Chan-woo, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics, said, "We plan to apply AI B2B solutions to smart apartments in more complexes and households so that more consumers can experience a more convenient daily life at home through Samsung Electronics' AI."
