Gyeonggi-do to Conduct 'Post-Management Inspection of Apartment Complexes' from Second Half of This Year

Gyeonggi-do to Conduct 'Post-Management Inspection of Apartment Complexes' from Second Half of This Year Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province is introducing a 'Post-Management Audit of Apartment Complexes' to check whether identified issues have been improved.

The post-management audit is a system introduced by Gyeonggi Province with the purpose of preventing recurrence through continuous management even after the audit, rather than a one-time audit, for complexes audited 2 to 3 years ago.

Gyeonggi Province has notified the audit plan to the targeted apartment complexes to promote this post-management audit.

For this audit, Gyeonggi Province selected complexes with a high risk of recurrence through the Apartment Management Information System (k-apt) and early warnings of apartment management corruption, and plans to check whether the audit findings have been improved and ensure the effectiveness of the audit so that the same violations do not continue.

To enhance the quality of the audit, Gyeonggi Province introduced an audit result review committee including private experts in 2018 to ensure fairness and accuracy of audit dispositions, and shares audit information annually through joint training for audit officers in cities and counties.

Park Jong-geun, head of the Apartment Complex Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We will also support work improvements at apartment management sites by sharing audit cases related to the post-management audit and conducting on-site consultations," adding, "We will do our best to protect residents' rights and establish transparency in apartment management, while actively collecting diverse opinions from the field to identify unreasonable system improvements and management blind spots."
