Trump's Personal Physician Ronny Jackson Reveals on SNS
"Bandage Needed Due to Intermittent Bleeding"
Donald Trump, the former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate, is reported to have a scar about 2cm long on his ear from a recent shooting during a campaign event.
On the 20th (local time), AP News and others reported that Ronny Jackson, a Republican congressman from Texas and former White House physician during Trump's presidency, disclosed a memo containing this information on social media.

Congressman Jackson explained that, as Trump himself revealed the day before, the bullet aimed at him missed by a quarter of an inch (about 0.63cm) and hit the upper part of his right ear. He stated, "The scar created by the bullet's trajectory is about 2cm wide and extends to the surface of the ear cartilage." He also noted that at the time of the shooting, Trump's upper ear was swollen with significant bleeding, but the swelling has since subsided.
Jackson said, "However, due to intermittent bleeding, Trump still needs to keep a bandage on the wound," adding, "Scabs have started to form on the wound, and it is in the proper healing process." Although bleeding still occurs because of the ear's vascular nature, suturing surgery is unnecessary.
Jackson mentioned that Trump "will undergo additional examinations in the future," including "a comprehensive hearing test." He also said he would stay by Trump's side throughout the weekend to provide the necessary medical support. Jackson, who transitioned from White House physician to politician, is known to have been examining Trump daily since the shooting incident.
This is the first time a medical professional has provided detailed information about Trump's condition since the shooting.
On the afternoon of the 13th, around 6:15 PM, while speaking at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, Trump was grazed on his right ear by a bullet fired by an assassin. Despite bleeding from his ear and cheek immediately after the shooting, he clenched his fist and shouted "Fight," receiving cheers from his supporters.
One supporter attending the rally was killed in the shooting, two others were seriously injured, and the shooter was shot dead at the scene. Earlier, Eric Trump, the former president's second son, described his father's ear injury as a "minor shallow wound" and said it was not stitched.
