Encouragement to Participate in Voting for the July 23 Party Convention
On the 21st, Han Dong-hoon, the People Power Party's representative candidate, encouraged party members and the public to participate in the July 23 party convention vote, saying, "While the opponent focuses on personal attacks, I will move forward into the future with you."
Han made this statement around 2:58 PM on his Facebook, requesting, "I will seek harmony. Please vote."
This remark appears to be in consideration of the fierce attacks from other candidates, including Na Kyung-won, the subject of the 'request to cancel the indictment in the Na Kyung-won candidate's Fast Track case,' which Han revealed during a debate.
Earlier, at 9 AM, Han posted on Facebook, "We will change. We will surely become an innovative ruling party, a capable ruling party," and urged, "Please choose whether to change or to continue as we are."
The post ended with the phrase "Han Dong-hoon, Jang Dong-hyeok, Park Jeong-hoon, Jin Jong-oh," interpreted as a final appeal for support for his running mates, the candidates for Supreme Council member and Youth Supreme Council member.
In another post that day, he stated, "The ROK-US alliance is the core of South Korea's diplomacy, defense, economy, scientific development, and peace in Asia," adding, "We will protect national interests through the strong ROK-US alliance reestablished by the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
